Regulation rise of Plateau de Beille

ARTICLE 1 – THE EVENT

The WEEKLY ASCENT OF PLATEAU DE BEILLE is a cyclo-tourist event that will take place on Thursday mornings during the summer period, departing from the village of Les Cabannes.

The 5 dates planned in 2021:

  • Thursday, July 29
  • Thursday, August 5
  • Thursday, August 12
  • Thursday, August 19
  • Thursday, August 26

This is an UN-timed cyclo-tourism route and does not require registration.

The number of participants is limited to 90 for each Ascent of Plateau de Beille.
The start is free and staggered according to individual preferences between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. It takes place in the town square at the village of Les Cabannes (Arche de l’Ariégeoise marking the starting line).

ARTICLE 2 – MEAL REGISTRATION

Registration is mandatory only for participants who wish to have the meal. It will be served at Plateau de Beille starting from 12:00 pm.

The price of the meal is €18, but a discounted rate of €15 is reserved only for participants in the Ascent of Plateau de Beille who are registered on our website www.cyclosport-ariegeoise.com within the limit of 90 available places.
Your meal ticket will be given to you starting from 9:00 am at the starting area.
The deadline for meal registration is the Tuesday before each event at 11:59 pm.

This meal is prepared by our partner “La Maison Lacube”:
🍽 On the menu: Charcuterie/Cheese Shooters, Burger, Herbed Potatoes, Croustade, and Wine. For non-registered individuals who wish to participate in this meal, it is essential to reserve with La Maison Lacube at 05 34 09 09 09.
In case of cancellation of the Ascent of Plateau de Beille, the amount for the meal will be refunded.

ARTICLE 3 – ACCEPTANCE OF RISKS AND REGULATIONS

Upon registration, each participant acknowledges having read the present regulations, accepts the clauses in their entirety, and assumes the normal and frequent risks associated with cycling, such as individual or collective falls.
Each participant confirms the accuracy of the information provided during registration. Any interpretation or complaint regarding the ride, the regulations, or their application must be addressed in writing to the Ariégeoise Cyclo Club.
For any dispute or contestation, only French law applies.
The organization reserves the right to make modifications and update these regulations at any time. Modifications will take effect immediately.

The Ariégeoise also disclaims any liability in the event of damage, breakage, or theft of all the participant’s equipment (bike, wheel, helmet…).

Participation in the Plateau de Beille Ascent implies the express acceptance by each competitor of the regulations.

ARTICLE 4 – EQUIPMENT AND GEAR

The participant undertakes to start the Plateau de Beille Ascent with equipment in perfect working order (brakes, tires…) as well as clothing suitable for weather conditions.

Mandatory equipment:

  • Approved rigid helmet, to be worn throughout the ride,
  • Hydration system and a sufficient quantity of food reserve,
  • Bike prepared for use in high mountains (appropriate gear ratios, up-to-date mechanical overhaul),
  • Clothing for cold, rain, or heat depending on weather conditions.

ARTICLE 5 – SAFETY

Each participant must respect the traffic regulations, use only the right side of the road, and ensure their own safety by adjusting their speed.

The organization advises arriving at the start having undergone very serious physical preparation, as the Plateau de Beille Ascent is a mountain event with difficult gradients.

The route remains open to traffic.

ARTICLE 6 – IMAGE RIGHTS

By registering for the Plateau de Beille Ascent, you agree that the organization and the media may use your image (photos, videos) for their promotion and dissemination, in all forms (video, newspapers, printed photos, Internet…).

Any disagreement with this clause must be reported by letter to the Ariégeoise Cyclo Club at the time of registration.

ARTICLE 7 – GDPR

Data Protection: In accordance with current legislation, the participant has the right to access, rectify, or oppose the personal computerized data concerning them.

These data may be used, transferred, rented, or exchanged, notably for commercial information or press operations.

ARTICLE 8 – ENVIRONMENTAL RESPECT

Remember to keep waste and packaging until you can dispose of them in the designated area.

ARTICLE 9 – HEALTH PROTOCOL

The participant undertakes to consult and comply with the health protocols in force and their developments.

In all cases, it will be necessary to comply with the health measures imposed by:

  • The various legislative and regulatory texts;
  • Special provisions issued by the prefecture;

Given the latest information and the current situation, the health pass will be mandatory for the Plateau de Beille ascents with more than 50 participants.

In this case, a Health Pass check will be carried out at the Ariégeoise stand at the starting line for registered riders. Riders can present their health pass either on their phone using the “TousAntiCovid” application, or in paper format with the certificate they received after vaccination or testing.

Mask Wearing:
The mask wearing obligations previously applicable do not apply to individuals who have accessed establishments, places, and events taking place in the above spaces, with the presentation of the Health Pass.

However, mask wearing may be made mandatory by the departmental prefect when local circumstances require it, as well as by the equipment operator or the organizer.

Valid for 7 days after the 2nd dose

Dated less than 48 hours before the event

Dated less than 6 months (and more than 11 days) attesting that the person has developed the disease and is therefore naturally immune.
