La Mountagnole, the little sister of L’Ariégeoise, is the most popular timed route of this 30th edition.
Don’t be fooled by its shorter format: it is a true mountain challenge.
With 124 km and 2,850 m of elevation gain, La Mountagnole takes you over some of the finest climbs in Ariège:

one of the longest ascents in the Pyrenees with the Col du Portel via the Col de Péguère from Foix,
-
then one of the most beautiful combinations in the Pyrenees with the Col d’Agnes, an iconic climb of the Ariège mountains, and the Port de Lers, made famous by its many appearances in the Tour de France.
A demanding route, perfectly suited to fans of fast, explosive gran fondo formats, where everyone can chase a performance, a personal challenge, or simply the pleasure of riding in the heart of the Pyrenees.
